Who we are
From the founder:
I’m Paul Kaetterhenry. My wife and I are the founders of a new ministry called “Different Ministry”. For 47 years, I endured Satan’s spiritual attack and deception, putting addiction into my life and separating me from God, before I surrendered everything to Christ.
I was an addict, drug dealer, and drunk for many years. The last five years, I was drinking from the time I woke up until the time I passed out, having serious physical withdrawals every morning. When I surrendered my life to God, I was completely healed of any desire for alcohol and have endured no symptoms of withdrawals at all. God healed me. I do know that he does not give that mercy to everyone and there are many people that come to Christ that still struggle with addiction. I have often wondered why I received that mercy and discovered in the last four years that it was for the path God wanted me to be on. I have felt a strong call to do something to help others. There are a lot of people that need help to be free from their addiction, no matter what that addiction is, and must realize that they can get that freedom from Christ and Christ alone.
My wife, Nicole, and I have created a recovery program that does just that – it helps participants of the program to fully understand and believe that addition is a sin/idol, it is a spiritual battle, and with faith in Christ, a relationship with God, and guidance and protection of the Holy Spirit, they can overcome any type of addiction. Praise to God for all he has done, all he is currently doing, and all that he will do through our faith and trust in him through this program.

From the co-founder,
I am Nicole Kaetterhenry and I am the co-founder of Different Ministry, Inc. I grew up in what I would consider a typical single-child Christian home. I was raised to love the Lord, love, honor and respect my parents, do well in school, and steer clear of trouble. To this day I have never been drunk, never used drugs, and never smoked. Was I the perfect child? Well, of course not, only Jesus can fill that role!
I married in my early 20’s and had two boys and we were always so close. I helped them build Legos, make forts, hunt for snakes, read them books at bedtime, worked on school projects and quizzed them for tests. When I divorced, our relationship was temporarily strained, but I thank God that we have overcome that and have regained our close relationship.
After the divorce, my parents would mention from time to time that they hoped I would find someone. My response? I would reply that if God wants me to be with someone, He will bring someone into my life. I knew I would never use a dating app – personally, I do not trust them. I also knew that if I would be with someone, I wanted them to love God and pursue a life honoring Him as much as I did. As only God knows how to do, he answered my parent’s prayer and while organizing outdoor events for our church, Paul and my paths crossed. Would I have ever thought that I would be with someone who was a biker, drug dealer, and a drunk? Did I ever imagine falling in love with or marrying someone from that lifestyle? Absolutely not. But that is no longer who Paul is. He is a precious child of God. When I met and got to know Paul, I could see how passionate his love was for the Lord and how he lived every day honoring the one who saved him. Paul inspires, encourages, and challenges me every day to never forget the blessings, mercy, and grace God provides to us. I truly look forward to embarking on this journey, hand in hand with my husband and following where God leads us. We hope you will come along beside us, praying for us, and supporting us along the way.
God bless,
Nicole
